Innuo has developed the digital ecosystem Diguan, an education project aimed at helping adolescents manage their type 1 diabetes, as well as normalizing and raising awareness of the disease. The project consists of a microsite (www.diguan.es), a videoblog linked to a YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/diguantube) and a game which is available for download at GooglePlay and AppStore.
To project was created by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians associated to medical societies (SED and SEEP ), patients (FEDE) and members of the pharmaceutical industry (Sanofi) using a Design Thinking methodology.
The content of the videoblog will be updated regularly with videos of Diguan, a fun and endearing character who must learn to manage his type 1 diabetes in situations similar to those of an adolescent.
The videogame is a serious game focused on helping Diguan manage his type 1 diabetes. Overcoming levels unlocks accessories and customization options. It is also a social game and players can view and like other players avatars.
