Barcelona, 23 January 2009: The first Marketing and Communication Seminar organized by innuo and led by their Online Marketing Director, Carmen Pons, took place on Thursday 22 January 2009. The session was orientated around the impact of web 2.0 on the healthcare professional, patient and consumer. The power of the online influencer and prescriber and the growing importance of social media and blogs were debated, in addition to, new opportunities and risks in terms of brand online reputation.
The seminar was attended by marketing and online communication specialists from a variety of multinational and national companies. The discussion was very participatory and touched upon the repercussion of these changes on the relationship between brands, consumers and prescribers. Furthermore, it was also brought to the light the need for all stakeholders involved in healthcare to confront this new situation and seek adequate specialist support.
